In order to prevent the flange cover from being heated and causing corrosion between the eyes, the welding current should not be too large, 20% smaller than the carbon steel electrode, the arc should not be too long, the cooling between layers should be fast, and the weld should be narrow.

chrome stainless steel flange pipe fittings have high hardenability after welding, American standard flanges, and cracks easily occur. If the same type of chromium stainless steel electrode is used for welding, it must be preheated above 300°C and slowly cooled to 700°C after welding. If the weldment cannot be processed by post-weld heat treatment, stainless steel flange pipe electrodes should be used.
