A stainless steel flange (also called flange or flanged joint) is the part that connects a pipe to another pipe. It is attached to the tube end. There are holes in the flange, and bolts can be used to tightly connect two flanges. The flange is sealed with a gasket. Flanged pipe fittings are pipe fittings with flanges. They can be cast, threaded, or welded. The stainless steel flange joint consists of a pair of flanges, a gasket, and several bolts and nuts. The gasket is placed between the sealing surfaces of the two flanges, and when the nut is tightened, the pressure deforms the gasket, filling the uneven parts of the sealing surface to ensure a tight, leak-free connection. Some pipe fittings and equipment come with their own flanges, which are also flange connections. Flange connection is an important connection method in pipeline construction.
Stainless steel flange connections are easy to use and can withstand high pressure. Flange connections are widely used in industrial pipelines. In residential settings, where pipe diameters are small and the pressure is low, flange connections are less common. However, in boiler rooms or production sites, flanged pipes and equipment are found everywhere.
